helpful in any field, even art! Each step of the scientific method is
discussed and translated for those with artistic sensibilities.

Mr. Hovancsek published about body image, the media, plastic surgery trends,
and eating disorders. Tucked into the presentation are historical trends
in body image, unhealthy patterns in modern society, and findings about how the
brain responds to the human body. This information is used to show the
difference between biological and social factors in shaping body aesthetics.
The goal of the presentation is to look at healthy and unhealthy ways that
Americans modify, groom, and present/conceal their bodies according to messages
